Ghana Gas denies giving Ellembelle DCE GHc8 Million for personal use

The head of communications for the Ghana National Gas company, Enerst Owusu Bempah has this morning clarified that Ghana Gas has not paid 8 million Ghana cedis to Kwasi Bonzoh as DCE for his personal use but paid 4.450 million to the Ellembele District Assembly as property rate and not to the DCE as speculated by some section of the media and the general public in the last few days.

Addressing the media on Tuesday, November 8, in Takoradi, Ernest Owusu Bempah stated that it’s important to set the records straight when the media is spinning falsehoods.

According to him in the said interview granted on an Nzema-based radio station, he sorts to tell them what Ghana Gas has been doing to the community as part of their cooperate social responsibility and called the DCE as a witness and not to say the Kwasi Bonzoh has been the said amount as largely speculated.

He said, ” There’s a cordial relationship between the District Assembly of Ellembelle and Ghana Gas and we have not paid the alleged 8 million Ghana Cedis to Bonzoh K.

“Notwithstanding, we only pay property rate to the District and since 2017 they have paid GHC4.450 million to the assembly while the remaining amount is going through auditing.”
