“I haven’t pulled out of Essikado-Ketan parliamentary race” – Dr Grace – Skyy Power FM

The 2020 parliamentary candidate for Essikado-Ketan Constituency under the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Dr Grace Ayensu Danquah will be contesting the upcoming parliamentary primaries election.
She said this on Skyy Power FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show on Thursday, April 6, after it was reported that Dr Grace Ayensu Danquah has pulled out of the upcoming NDC parliamentary primaries election.
Noting reasons for this report, Dr Grace indicated that during the vetting process on Tuesday, April 4, some members of the party petitioned the vetting committee but the petition was overlooked leading to a disagreement between her and the committee.
“I believe when party delegates present a petition to the party, the executives have to do the due diligence to consider and take an action but shouldn’t just overlook it and I was disappointed.”
Dr Grace said she is still working hard towards winning the elections and believes the hard work she did during the 2020 elections is still effective and will boost her chances of winning of 2024 elections.
“We have done a lot for the people of the Essikado-Ketan Constituents through our community engagement, over 200 blind people got to see after our medical intervention and if any of our constituents have any medical issues, they should come to me and we will find ways to help them with their situation.”
She added that she is not having any issues with her competitors in the primaries and is ever ready to engage them when necessary.
Also, she is on good terms with all her constituency executives and if there are rumours that there is a problem, they are false rumours.
