Founder and Presidential Candidate of the All People’s Congress (APC), Mr Hassan Ayariga has said he is willing to halt his presidential ambitions for his brother, Mr Mahama Ayariga to continue if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will file him as their Presidential Candidate.

That he said was because he and Mr Mahama Ayariga, his biological brother shares similar vision for the Ghanaian people and the country in general.

The APC leader made the comment in an exclusive interview on Xpressive ON GHToday with Kingg and Jackie on GhOne Television on Monday, May 24 and monitored by GhanaPlus.com.

We have the same vision for Ghana

“I won’t even contest because I believe in his leadership,” Mr Hassan Ayariga answered when quizzed by the presenters, if he would step down should the NDC file his brother as a Presidential candidate.

He noted for him, the contest for the Presidency was not about a political party but finding that right leader capable of transforming the country to the desirable Ghana wished for by many.

He revealed he did not file any candidate at Bawku in the past elections because of his brother and he was willing to do same if he was chosen to lead the NDC any time.

“Myself and my brother we do not disagree on politics because we have almost the save vision and ideas for what we want to do with our people. Because of my brother I did not put a candidate in Bawku. If you go and ask that is a place I will say that I need a candidate that will win a seat for me”.

“When I look at his policies and mine and I look at his ways and his skills and his ideas and leadership style, is the same. So why will I put a candidate when I know the one who is there is better. I am not more concern about political party, I am concern about leadership so if you are a good leader I will campaign for you even if you are not a member of my party because what we want is transformation and leaders that can change this country,” he said.
