According to former president John Dramani Mahama, the next NDC administration’s priorities will be improving state institutions and, most crucially, making changes to Ghana’s current constitution.
The time has come, in Mr. Mahama’s opinion, to revisit the constitution and make some adjustments after it has been in place for 26 years so that the nation can have a suitable constitutional environment in which to expand its economy.
He was talking to VOA during an interview.
When asked if he intended to run as the NDC’s candidate once more in the 2024 elections, Mr. Mahama responded that he had not yet made up his mind.
He added that “ it is good to keep your opponents guessing” on which candidate will be presented.
Keeping your opponents guessing is beneficial, he continued, so choose carefully.
