The Western Regional Minister speaking on the state of the region today, November 16, said an interchange at Pipe Ano in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis is being worked on.
Dr Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah at the Ministry of Information said it is agreeable that another interchange is needed at Pipe Ano because of the PTC Interchange that is currently being developed.
He said, after the PTC interchange is completed, there will be a lot of traffic in the Pipe Ano area so another interchange will be necessary to ease the flow of traffic.
He said, “Urban Roads has advised me that they are making some savings and they hope that part of that savings can be used to fund the interchange, not a very sophisticated one, but a very simple one that can ease traffic flow when there is pressure from the main PTC interchange.”
The Minister said that is what is being worked on for now and they hope it materialises.
