Jailed Takoradi lady faked her kidnapping because of Indomie
Twenty-nine-year-old Joana Krah was left in the care of his adopted father, Evangelist Francis Nyambo, an elder of the Church of Christ at a tender age. Over the years, Evangelist Francis Nyambo has treated the lady as his biological daughter by training her in Christ to the extent that she never lacked anything.
They both lived at Essoun-Krom in Kojokrom, a suburb of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region. However, since Joana Krah grew old enough to fend for herself, she relocated.
According to our investigations, she had been bombarding the adopted father with calls to help her establish a business but whenever money is released to her, the purpose at which the money was released will not be achieved.
There have been times where she has been able to operate businesses but they ended up not being successful in the end. A few weeks ago, she approached her adopted father and communicated to him that she wanted to start an Indomie business in her area.
Once again, Evangelist Francis Nyambo did not fail her, he released an amount of GHS500 for her to begin the Indomie business.
On the 22nd October 2021, the adopted father placed a call to her to find out how the Indomie business was doing but Joana Krah did not answer her phone. He tried several times but to no avail, and after some time he received a text message on his mobile phone and the content was threatening.
The message indicated that the lady had been kidnapped and an amount of GHS5,000 is needed for her released.
The evangelist became worried after reading the text message and called the number of his daughter to find out the authenticity of what he had read. She answered the phone and started crying pretending as if she had been kidnapped and the kidnappers wanted to kill her if her father refused to release the GHS5,000.
Out of fear, Evangelist Nyambo ran to the police to lodge a complaint and upon Joana realising the length her prank was heading, she reported herself to the Takoradi Central Police Station.
Deep throat information from the family indicates that the money for the Indomie business was not used for the purpose and she needed a plan to cover up making her fake the kidnapping.
A close associate, Jonathan Awortwe has described the situation as unfortunate but wants the punishment to serve as a deterrent to others who have similar intentions.
Joana Krah could have told her father about the GHS500 she refused to use for the Indomie business and nothing would have happened, but she decided to fake kidnapping and that has landed her in jail.
