Junior staff of Zoomlion in Western Region embarks on sit-down strike

The junior staff of Zoomlion Company Limited in the Western Region have embarked on a sit-down strike due to three (3) months of unpaid salary.

The junior staff which includes drivers and workers who cart away waste bins from door to door claimed they have not been paid from February to April including some bonuses.

According to some of the staff who spoke to Skyy News, they first wrote a letter to the management including the regional office of the company prompting them on the delay in their salary payment but haven’t received any convincing response hence the need for the strike.
