Kennedy Agyepong’s threat on JoyNews Journalist: We will not rest until something concrete is done – GJA assures

The President of the Ghana Journalists’ Association (GJA) Mr Roland Affail Monney has said the GJA will not rest until concrete steps are taken by authorities to address the threat on the life of JoyNews Journalist, Erasmus Asare Donkor by the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Mr Kennedy Agyepong.

He indicated concrete steps needs to be taken and the GJA would security institutions in the country to bring finality to the development.

Mr Affail Money was speaking at a press conference in Accra to address the threat made on the life of the Ghanaian Journalist by a member of Ghana’s legislative house.

Addressing journalists at the event monitored by GhanaPlus.com, he noted Mr Asare Donkor must be protected at all cost.

 “The life of Erasmus Asare Donkor must be protected at all cost and we urge the National Security apparatus to take this up with urgent promptitude and utmost seriousness. it is not enough for the petition to the relevant quarters to gain fraction what is most needed is concert action on all front and we shall not rest until something concrete is done.”

Kennedy Agyepong threatens JoyNews’ Erasmus Asare Donkor

The Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency Mr Kennedy Agyepong on Friday, July 9 verbally abused and threatened to attack Mr Asare Donkor for reporting the brutalities which claimed two lives and saw four others injured and his subsequent testimony at the Committee of inquiries probing the disturbances.

Mr Agyepong called for Erasmus to be beaten mercilessly for undertaken a journalist work on Net 2 Television station owned by him.
