Man arrested for stealing ECG meters in Takoradi

A 35-year-old man is in the grips of the Ghana Police after he was caught stealing and selling Electricity Company of Ghana’s (ECG) meters.

The Kwesimintsim District Police Command arrested the suspect, John Cudjoe, a resident of Takoradi in the Western Region for selling these stolen meters to unsuspected persons within the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis and its environs.

They arrested him on Friday, September 2nd, 2022.

According to reports, John Cudjoe and other suspects have been on the radar of ECG for a while now.

Since the company’s market research revealed a concerning amount of unauthorized meters in the possession of numerous unwary clients, John Cudjoe and other suspects have been ECG’s prime targets after their investigation.
