Motorists lament deplorable Kojokrom-Takoradi road – Skyy Power FM
Some motorists who use the Kojokrom-Takoradi main road are lamenting about the poor state of the road.
A section of the road, on the fitting junction and Obokrom junction, has been left to deteriorate hence developing into big potholes.
The recent rains have exposed the sorry state of the road making it difficult for road users to commute on it.
Speaking to Skyy News on the issue, some drivers made it known that the nature of the road makes their cars develop countless faults which gives them no option than to use their sales to cover the expenses.
According to them, because of the big potholes on some parts of the road, there is always traffic from Ahinkofi to Kojokrom during the latter part of the day. Drivers have to take their time driving when they approach the potholes, sometimes, spending almost an hour on that stretch.
They further reiterated that the contractor who was supposed to work on the road deposited some sand and gravel on the side of the road but the materials have eroded over time contributing to the dilapidated nature of the road now.
They, therefore, called on the city authorities to see to the construction of the road as a matter of urgency.
