The President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has named his first appointees following his swearing-in into office on January 7, 2021 to begin his second term in office.
The President’s first set of appointees; thirteen (13) in numbers would serve as his immediate staff at the Presidency.
Among the 13, the President, maintained the former Chief of Staff, Ms Frema Opare , the Director of Communications, Mr Eugene Arhin and Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante.
Madam Frema Osei Opare will be assisted by Mr Emmanuel Adumua-Bossman and Ms Fawaz Aliu as her deputies.
Others were Mercy Debrah-Kakari, Secretary to Cabinet, Brig Gen. Emmanuel Okyere, National Security Advisor, Saratu Atta, Personal Assistant to the President, Lord Commey, Director of Operation, Sam Ellis, Director of Personnel, Dr Isaac Owusu-Mensah, Director of Research, Ekow Essuman, Legal Counsel to the President and Micheal Ofori Atta, Director of ECOWAS and Regional Integration.
A statement sighted by the GhanaPlus.com noted the new appointees were to serve in acting capacities until a new Council of State is instituted to approve their appointment.
