Newly appointed Edelesuazo Development Chief calls for unity

The recently appointed development chief of the Edelesuazo community, Nana Akua Anokowa I, has urged the locals to support her in promoting harmony and peace to hasten the area’s development.

She stated that they needed to come together for the sole reason that it was the most reliable method for them to achieve the growth they hoped for as a people.

In her capacity as head of development, she would guide the populace towards additional projects aimed at modernising the neighbourhood. The call was placed at the installation ceremony of Nana Anokowa I, a professional nurse who goes by the name Madam Judith Korsah in private, at Edelesuazo in the Nzema-East Municipality of the Western Region.

She proudly displayed a few of her development projects, mentioning that she had launched an apprenticeship programme for roughly twenty young ladies so far, giving them, among other things, community-useful skills.

Nana Anokowa I expressed her gratitude to the family and community for their trust in her to advocate for the community’s growth and promised to do more to support it.

The recently appointed development chief was tasked by Madam Catherine Abenlemah Afeku, a former Minister for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, to focus more on girl-child education, specifically in the areas of Technical, Vocational, and Education Training.

She donated 10 sewing machines as part of efforts to support apprenticeship training for young girls in Edelesuazo.
