NPP elections: factions in Ellembelle not ready to settle their differences out of court

The Western Regional elections chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Hon. Evans Amoah says the committee cannot be blamed if Ellembelle delegates do not partake in the elections.

He said the leadership of the party led by the Regional Chairman Ndede Sia have tried to get the feuding factions to settle their differences out of court but all have taken an entrenched position.

The former Western Regional Minister and former Member of Parliament (MP) for Mpohor said this in an interview with Skyy Power 93.5FM on Tuesday, May 24.

He said though anything can happen, it will be difficult for the Ellembelle Constituency to participate in the regional elections due to the short time.

Members of the NPP at the Ellembelle Constituency are in court over what he called irregularities in their polling station elections and have also secured an injunction on the Constituency elections.

Hon. Amoah said they should have softened their stands for an amicable solution.
