Presidential Jet flown to France for major repair works

According to the government, the Presidential Jet was sent to France for critical repairs only, and not for any other reason.

After the repairs are finished, the administration predicts that the jet will return to the nation in December of this year.

You may recall that the Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul, said the presidential jet would be flown to France for at least four months somewhere in May 2022.

In reaction to a Facebook post about the use of the presidential plane made by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at Jubilee House, issued the following statement.

Contrary to the allegations made by the member of parliament for North Tongu, Mr. Arhin stated that “no one utilized the Presidential Jet to France” and no one is now utilizing the Presidential Jet in France. Only the crew, which consisted of pilots from the Ghana Air Force, took the plane to France.

He, therefore, questioned how Mr Ablakwa anticipated returning to Ghana on Saturday, September 10, from his present journey to the Netherlands and France on board the Presidential Jet, which is undergoing extensive repairs and is planned to arrive in Ghana in December.

In order to avoid further embarrassment, he advised the NDC MP to curtail his propensity for spreading false information about the Presidential Jet.
