The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG) is cautioning its customers who have tampered with their meters and are stealing from the company in a way to do well to report themselves for rectification without any cause of punishment within this month of June 2022.

Briefing the media in Takoradi on the impending audit of all ECG meters in operation, the Director of Customer Service at Electricity Company of Ghana, Mr Abraham Anokye noted that the month’s moratorium which will end on July 06, 2022, is to afford all customers to assist the field survey, which will see the deployment of ECG officials to update customer information.
Customers, he said are to report to either their District or Regional offices across the country with issues they (customers) might have which could be deemed as stealing of electricity, for immediate rectification.
He however warned that failure to report such issues within the one-month period would go against anyone who would be found culpable.
