An attendant at a refuse site in Fijai, near the newly constructed Astroturf has discovered a newborn baby at the site in the early hours of Friday, February 18.
The refuse attendant narrating her discovery to Skyy Power 93.5FM explained that two men in a private vehicle approached her with a black polythene bag and asked how much it cost to dispose of their refuse.
She said, “The two men in a private vehicle approached me and asked how much does it cost to dispose of their refuse which I replied GHS1.
“They handed me the money and disposed of their bag. I then decided to untie all the bags at the top of the refuse to make space for more, in the process of doing so, I found a medical drip hanging outside the bag of the two gentlemen brought, in the process of untying it, blood started dripping so I stopped to call my mom.
“My mom also came fully untied the bag and what we discovered shocked us to the core, a lifeless newborn baby in a pool of blood.”
The assembly member of the community has reported the issue to the Ghana Police Service.
