Scores of parents have trooped to the Ghana Education Service Solution Centre in Sekondi to rectify several problems concerning the placement of Senior High Schools for their wards.
After the school placement was released last week, some parents complained about the challenges they faced concerning the placement schools.
The Skyy News team was at the solution centre this morning and some of the common complaints by parents were that their wards were not placed in any school and the self-placement option was inaccessible.
Others also indicated that their wards did not get the schools of their choice hence the seek for a change.
A parent speaking to Skyy News said, “My son chose technical schools because he wants to offer a technical course, but was given a non-technical school and Visual Arts, he confided in me that there is no way he can do visual arts as a course because his passion is technical.”
“The reason I am here is to change the school and course as well.”
Another parent told Skyy News. “My daughter did not get a school at all and the self-placement alternative is also not accessible, the reason we are here is to seek help from the solution centre.”
