Journalist and Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has called on the President , Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo – Addo to dedicate national resources to what is important and not to use them on what he described as useless projects.

He quizzed whether the President was still using the country’s resources to build a national cathedral in the face of the pandemic which had already claimed nearly 500 lives in the country and affected thousands.

“I will like somebody to tell me what we are doing with the so call national cathedral in the face of a pandemic, are we still dedicating national resources to the building of the cathedral in the face of a pandemic?, especially, as we have seen photographs of bishops of  archbishops wearing double and triple mask”.

Mr Kwesi Pratt Jnr made the comment on Alhaji and Alhaji current affairs programme aired on Pan African Television on Saturday, February 6, 2021 and monitored by GhanaPlus.com.

He explained even the men of God in the country, Bishops and Archbishops, especially, had realized that prayer was not the solution to ones survival hence they had adopted the wearing of double and triple face mask and wondered why the government would still dedicates the country’s resources to a cathedral when it was of no use to the country’s immediate needs.

Mr Pratt noted as at the moment what was of top most priority to the country and should be for government was the COVID-19 pandemic and that was where resources should be channeled to.

“The bishop and archbishop themselves have come to the realization that prayer is not the solution and that if they had to stay alive they should be wearing double and triple face mask and we have a President who is calling on the population to keep praying, praying to God”.

“The archbishops are not praying to God to fight COVID my dear, let wake up,” he emphasized.
