TVET: Wee-North trained female individuals to bridge gender inequality.

A non governmental organization, Wee-North has implemented a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program to train groups and individuals Female who are interested in getting vocational skills.

This program has already produced female worker who are doing well in the industry in northern part of the country.

According to the Gender equality promotion coordinator, Mrs. Humu-Hani Adam the program exist only in the north and as time goes when the organization achieved big the would extend it to other regions.

The training takes two (2) months for field work and one months for attachment and the attachment goes with remuneration to attache’s in the various sectors.

The organization is well equiped with modern tools and equipments in providing the training.

Also, the organization realized that technical and vocational education training field is a male dominating sector and their aim is to bridge the gender inequality in the field.

Again, the training would give them the necessary skills for them to fit in the job market after training them the organization provide them working tool for them to be on their own.

“Depending on government nowadays to get job is thought and so if they are trained it would help them to create jobs and also employ others”.

The process of joining Wee-North project only takes the person to pick a form and fill and the form is free while the training too is also free.

This program does not matter the level of your education and those who have never been to school can also go in for Wee-North project to get vocational skills.
