Vehicle somersault leaving at least 12 people in critical condition in Wassa Manso



At least twelve (12) people are in a critical condition after the vehicle which they were travelling with to a funeral somersaulted in Wassa Manso, a town in the Western Region of Ghana.

According to reports available to Skyy Power 93.5FM, an unidentified number of locals in Wassa Manso were travelling in the bucket of a Kia truck when the driver missed a gear after attempting to climb a hill. At that moment, the truck driver lost control, so the truck started to reverse with full speed from the hill leading it to somersault.

The Kia truck then overturned and fell on the victims, report then indicates that Amandi Construction workers who were on their way to work in their bus chanced on the accident scene, they then quickly gave a helping hand and overturned the truck with manpower to rescue the victims.

Also, most of the victims were injured, whiles some were in critical condition with no death recorded. The Amandi workers gave out their bus to transport the victims which information was given that they were transported to Manso Wassa Hospital, Apemanim Hospital and Effia-NKwanta Regional Hospital depending on their condition.
