Vetting for constituencies with sitting MPs takes off successfully

The Western Regional Chapter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has begun vetting aspirants who have shown interest to contest in the Parliamentary Primaries in constituencies with sitting MPs

The exercise kick-started on Wednesday, January 3, at the Kingstel Hotel in Takoradi where aspirants from 3 different constituencies were vetted.

These constituencies were the Ahanta West, Essikado-Ketan and the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency.

Four candidates went through the vetting for the Ahanta West Constituency; The Municipal Chief Executive Mr John Agyare, the Regional Patron Eric Pobee, the second vice chair for the constituency Mr Eric Pobee and John Kwesi Yankey.

Three candidates went through the vetting process for Tarkwa Nsuaem; the incumbent MP, George Mireku Duker, Gordon Opoku Boateng and Francis Elliason.

For the Essikado-Ketan Constituency; Former Regional Secretary, Charles Bissue, Regional Treasurer Horma Akaisi Miezah and Giovanni Nana Osei Tutu.
