The Chief Executive Officer of Dalex Finance, Mr Ken Thompson has begged the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to make decisive decisions to help move the country forward and out of the current economic hardships.
Mr Thompson made the appeal on his knee on Citi TV‘s current affairs programme Face to Face on Tuesday, November 1, monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
Speaking on the programme, the renowned business owner said what he sees ahead of the country is not good hence the need for the President to take urgent and decisive decision to avert the impending disaster.
According to him, he sees untold hardships, folding of business, high cost of living among others.
“His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa, what I can see coming is not good. If you are watching, what I can see coming is not good, I can see poverty, I can see job losses, I can see business closures, I can see prices going up, prices of electricity will go up, I can see it,” he said.
I lived through the 170s – Ken Thompson
Emotional Ken Thompson reliving some of his painful experiences in the 1970s said “I lived through the 70s, I saw it, and I saw my parent. When my mother came back from England, as a nurse, she bought a brand new car, Peugeot 403. I can see how eventually, she was not able to repair the car, she was involved in a crash. She was actually coming to visit me, car crash and that was the end of it”.
“I remember how our carpet became thread bare, how the seat of the chair became broken, how we started wearing second hands cloths. I have seen it,” the renowned businessman said.
He added in a portion of the interview which has gone viral on twitter that“ I am 61, I can’t do much about what is happening but you can and am begging you that please take decisive actions, be decisive, because I believe that you are capable of and let move this country forward. Thank you sir,”

His all comes days after the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo addressed the nation on the state of the economy.
Ghana is currently at a cross road financially making the desire for a comfortable life a luxury to many of its citizens.
Harsh eonomi condition, rising cost of living, high cost of petroleum products and its implication on general conditions of life has brought untold hardships across the country.
That not withstanding, the President has turned deaf ear to among other things calls to cut down on the size of his government and relieve the Finance Minister off his post.
He also failed to touch on the subjects during his address to the nation on Sunday, October 30.
