Alhaji Sani Abdullah Bawa, the head imam for the Western Region, has passed away.
After the previous Imam passed away following a brief illness, the Regional Chief Imam was recently installed after being sworn in by the Western Regional Zongo Chiefs.
He reportedly died on September 14, 2022, and the cause of death has not yet been determined; we will update this page as soon as we learn more.
However, Sheikh Ustaz Dr Ali Hasan Ali, the former Western Regional Chief Imam, passed away six months ago.
The tragic incident took place on March 29, 2022, a Tuesday.
