Your own Shadow Will soon Chase you in 2024- Kurguduli Community to Hon Ayaba.
The Cheif and People of Kurguduli has called on the Member of Parliament for MION hon Abdul Aziz Ayaba to as a matter of urgency fulfilled his 2020 campaign promises made in the community else, his own shadow will chase him away from their community come 2024.
Kurguduli is a farming community of over 45 houses located in the MION District of the Northern Region.
The community has over years lacking some social amenities such as Electricity, School, Drinking water and access to road.
The Community members are mainly engaged in farming activities for import and export purposes .
A visit to the community confirmed that electricity have passed through the Kurguduli to the near by community which is few meters away.
Checks revealed that the Community electricity projects was under Construction and Poles were brought to the community by the NDC Administration but was left after the party lost 2016 general elections.
The then NPP Parliamentary candidate hon Abdul AziZ Ayaba now the MP in his campaign Visit to the community promised to connect the community to National grad with electricity after winning 2020 elections.
The Community Cheif Yajah said the community have been neglected by both NPP and NDC since 1992 this according to him seems very disrespectful to the entire community hence the need to fulfill their outstanding promises.
Kamado Nakuwu the community youth leader accused the Npp first vice chairman of the Constituency hon Kacheb John. According to him, the first vice told them not to resist any attempt by the government to exclude their community from the electricity projects from the constituency .
Mr Kacheb John asked as to help the contractors erect poles to the near by community with a promise that our community will be next however, other smaller communities in the constituency have a share of their National cake yet we are still struggling. He added .
Madam Bemorm who spoke on behalf of the community women decries the lack of portal water in the community.
According to her, the borehole in the community is not enough for them . The days our husbands and children sleeps on empty stomach is more than days they eat. We find it difficult to access the nearest communities to grand our mail. She added.
