17 motor bikes presented to KOKMA Assembly members
Nii Adjei Tawiah, Municipal Chief Executive, Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly, on behalf of government, has presented 17 motor bikes to Assembly members to enhance their work.
He said the provision of the bikes for both elected members and government appointees, was in fulfilment of the Government’s promise to facilitate their movement within their Municipality.
Nii Tawiah noted that the bikes were supposed to have been presented to members in 2019 but due to the COVID 19, distribution to all Assemblies delayed.
“We have waited for the bikes for so long, and some of us even though it would not be delivered. But we want to assure you that government will always deliver on its promises.”
He said, “we believe that this would assist members in carrying out their duties effectively for the development of the Assembly.”
Mr Mensah, Presiding Member (PM) for the Assembly, receiving the motor bikes on behalf of members, expressed appreciation to the Government for the support, saying this was the second time they were receiving such support.
He urged members not to use the bikes for their personal errands or for business and assured that he would ensure that all Assembly members used them for the intended purpose.
