2021 Action Plan: Ningo Prampram District achieves 81% implementation
The Ningo Prampram District Assembly in the Greater Accra Region has achieved 81 per cent implementation of its Annual Action Plan for 2021, which comprises physical and non-physical projects and programmes.
This was announced during a Town Hall Meeting by the Assembly to discuss successes and challenges faced in the implementation of the previous plan from 2018 to 2021 and to seek recommendations for future planning in the district.
Speaking at the event, Ms Zubaida Damago, the Development Planning Officer for the Ningo Prampram District Assembly (NiPDA), said the Assembly successfully implemented 81 per cent of its Annual Action Plan in 2021.
She stated that 16 per cent was currently ongoing, two per cent was yet to be started and one per cent was stalled.
She said 16 out of 17 planned activities under economic development were implemented successfully.
The Development Planning Officer announced that 46 out of 47 projects were also completed under social development with 17 out of 17 under environment, infrastructure, and human settlement.
She added that 45 out of 47 planned activities on Governance, Corruption, and Accountability were also implemented, making a total of 124 out of 128 projects formulated for the year 2021.
This, she explained, included the Construction of a 40-Unit Market Shed, Civil works at Old Ningo, and the completion of 1NO. 3 Unit Classroom for Afienya Mataheko, rehabilitation of 2NO. 3 Unit Classroom Block and Administration Block at old Pramsec located at Miotso.
It also involves the supply of 1,000 sets of furniture to various basic schools within the district, the construction of a six-unit one-bedroom semi-detached teachers’ bungalow at Mangotsonya, and the completion of a CHPS compound at Ayetepa, the extension of water to Prampram Senior High School and many others.
The NiPDA Development Planning Officer said the Assembly also implemented non-physical projects such as organizing national immunization programmes, nutritional programmes, educational programmes, the conduct of
surveillance on COVID-19 response and organized 1D1F projects, among others.
She lauded the support, cooperation, and commitment of stakeholders to the development of the district.
“We, therefore, envisage a higher level of participation in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of plans to develop the district,” she added.
