AAK NCCE holds inter-party parliamentary dialogue


The Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has held an inter-party parliamentary dialogue for a peaceful 2024 general election.
The dialogue was a platform for the parliamentary candidate to dialogue and discuss matters of importance and provide answers to voters on the reasons to be voted for as their representatives in parliament.
Mrs Ellen Osei, the Director of NCCE in her welcoming address said the dialogue was to part of the Commission’s effort to initiate proactive measures to foster peaceful elections.
Also to ensure political stability in the constituency and the country at large for development.
She noted that everyone including the representatives wanted an election devoid of violence, hence, the need to collaborate to ensure peace was assured and preserved in the country.
The Director urged the candidates to engage in issue-based campaigns to help the electorate make informed decisions on Election Day.
Mr Etudur Kobina Nyanteh, the NPP parliamentary candidate discussed his visions, including the construction of a cassava factory to boost the local economy among others.
He pledged to preach peaceful elections to his followers and electorate to ensure the elections were peaceful.
In attendance were the District security agencies, traditional and religious institutions, youth groups, party representatives, and school children among others.
At the dialogue, participants were allowing engaging candidates on issues hindering their growth in the district and how they intend to resolve the issue.
Meanwhile, Mr Felix Ofosu-Kwakye the NDC parliamentary candidate could not make it to the dialogue.
