Akufo-Addo reacts to Ama Benyiwa-Doe’s passing

Vida Essel-LampteyThe President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reacted to the news of the death of former Central Regional Minister and Member of Parliament for the Gomoa West Constituency, Ms Ama Benyiwa-Doe.
According to him, the NDC stalwart was a colleague and a good friend in Parliament.
“I’m sad to hear about the news of the death of Ama Benyiwa-Doe. She was a colleague in Parliament, and a good friend. May her soul rest in perfect peace until the Last Day of the Resurrection when we shall all meet again. Amen!!,” he said.
The President made the remarks in a Facebook post on Sunday, September 19 sighted by GhanaPlus.com.
NDC’s Ama Benyiwa-Doe passes on
Ms Ama Benyiwa-Doe, a member of the National Democratic Congress and former Member of Parliament for the Gomoa West Constituency was reported dead early Sunday morning.
The Central Regional native and a former Minister of the region died at age 71.
