Bawumia Claims 80% Fulfillment of 2020 Manifesto Promises

Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has asserted that the current government has fulfilled 80% of the promises made in its 2020 manifesto.

Speaking to the media in Accra on Sunday, Bawumia highlighted the contrast with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), which, according to him, achieved only 28% of the promises outlined in its 2012 manifesto under former President John Mahama.

Bawumia emphasized the NPP’s track record: “We have a commendable record in honouring our promises.

We have reviewed our 2016 manifesto and have fulfilled 83% of its commitments.

Despite facing numerous crises, we have fulfilled or are in the process of fulfilling 80% of the promises from our 2020 manifesto.”

In comparison, Bawumia criticized Mahama’s performance, noting, “In his 2012 manifesto, Mahama made 280 promises, of which 203 remain unfulfilled.

This underscores our superior record in delivering on promises.”
