BLOKENT Unveils Tumaswaggonme’s Powerful 2-Track EP “Different Lifestyle, Different War”

BLOKENT proudly announces the debut 2-track EP from promising South African hip-hop artist Tumaswaggonme, titled “Different Lifestyle, Different War,” officially released today across all major streaming platforms.
Hailing from the vibrant township of Langa, Cape Town, Tumaswaggonme brings a fresh voice rooted in authentic storytelling and emotional honesty. His debut project is produced by Coffin, his childhood friend and trusted collaborator, whose production complements the artist’s compelling lyrics and dynamic flow.
The EP features two standout tracks: “Muni Long” delivers a raw narrative of resilience and ambition, where Tumaswaggonme raps: “I stood on business ‘cause they tryna pull me down, Tryna keep me in the hood — I’m focused on getting out.” These lines speak to the struggle of rising above the challenges of the environment, resonating deeply with many young Africans striving for better futures.
In contrast, “Baby Girl” offers a more tender side, capturing love as a source of strength and peace: “Your love is the wave, I’m just riding the tide, With you by my side, I got nothing to hide.” This track showcases his versatility, balancing streetwise grit with heartfelt vulnerability.
As South African hip-hop continues its rapid evolution and growing influence across Africa and the world, Tumaswaggonme is an artist poised to make a significant impact. His unique blend of storytelling, melodic flow, and authentic experience positions him as one to watch in the ever-expanding hip-hop community.
BLOKENT has steadily built its reputation by working with rising stars such as Jeriq and Aguero Banks, further cementing its role in shaping the African hip-hop landscape. With this new release, BLOKENT continues its mission to develop and promote authentic voices that represent the continent’s diverse culture and sound.
Precious Nwosu, Managing Director at BLOKENT, shares: “This project is special because it’s 100% real — from the production to the pen. Tumaswaggonme is one of those rare artists who can speak for the streets, for the heart, and for the dreamers all at once. We’re proud to help amplify that voice. This is just the beginning.”
