Vida Essel-LampteyFormer Acting Chairperson of the Conversion People’s Party (CPP), Hajia Hamdatu Ibrahim has made public her intention to contest the CPP flagbrearership ahead of 2024 elections.
Speaking on Pan African TV’s Good Morning Africa on Tuesday, January 4, monitored by GhanaPlus.com, she said her track record in the party speaks for itself.
According to her, she has been instrumental in the party for years and that makes her the best fit for the position if the party really desires to continue propagating the legacy of the country’s first President and former leader of the CPP.
“….Yes is true, last week I sat in the same seat to announce my intention to contest for the flagbearership of the CPP and there is no turning back. You know my track record in the CPP and the political landscape. I have been committed and dedicated to the cause of the Nkrumahist and then it is very very important that we look for a grassroot person who really understands the mill”.
“You see, unless and until you get who has really gone through the mill of the convention people’s party, who understand the dynamic of politics, the dynamics of what we really stands for, It will be a of challenge if we really don’t continue to preach the legacy of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, ” Hajia Hamdatu Ibrahim said.
