High Court dismisses Bernard Mornah’s attempt to get on 2024 ballot

The High Court has dismissed an application from Bernard Mornah, flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), seeking to overturn his disqualification by the Electoral Commission from contesting in the upcoming presidential election.

The ruling, delivered on Monday, October 21, effectively blocks Mr Mornah from pursuing further legal avenues to contest his disqualification, creating additional challenges for the PNC as the December elections draw near.

Mr Mornah’s application aimed to reverse the Electoral Commission’s decision, which cited issues with his nomination forms as the basis for his disqualification.

His removal from the race has sparked debates within the political landscape, raising concerns about the fairness of the electoral process and the role of the Electoral Commission in vetting candidates.
