A member of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Mr Kwame Jantuah has rate the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ‘s performance in the first year of his second term at five out of 10.
According to him, the president’s performance under the year of review was just average and nothing more adding “I will give 5/10. Yes I won’t go any further than that”.
Mr Jantuah was speaking on TV3 NewDay on Wednesday, December 29 monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
He explained there were so many things the president could have done to make the year better for Ghanaians but failed to do so.
“Am not into this percentage but if I want to look at the president himself and his performance, I will give 5/10. Yes I won’t go any further than that because there are so many other things he could have put into place that the people have had to push,” Mr Jantuah said while contributing to discussions on the year 2021 under review.
Electoral Commission declares Akufo- Addo President elect
The people of Ghana on December 7, 2020 gave the President, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo another mandate to continue his administration for the second term.
He was subsequently declared President by the Electoral Commission and sworn in on January 7.
He has since steer the affairs of the country up to today, December 30.
But many Ghanaians have argued the year have been challenging for them due to general high cost of living, lack of employment opportunities among others, something the government had blamed it on the COVID-19 pandemic which hit the world in 2019 and still linger on.
Akufo-Addo’s administration since January 7, have also been characterised with one scandal to the other, some of which are brawls in parliament, vetting of appointees of the president, the controversial Sputnik V deal by the Minister of Health and it accompanying brouhaha, E-levy among many others.
