Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, Suame near lynching – More Ashanti NPP MPs will be dealt with in same manner

National Youth Organiser of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Mr Osei Kofi Acquah has said more Members of Parliament from the Ashanti Region will be treated the same way the Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu was treated by artisans at Suame Magazine on Monday.
According to him, intelligence gathered by him has shown residence of the region, a strong hold of the ruling New Patriotic Party are angry whom over what he described as neglect by the government.
Mr Acquah said the MP’s will be beaten, hoot at and chased out by their constituents in 2024.
The CPP politician was speaking on Pan African TVs Good Morning Africa on Tuesday, July 19, monitored by GhanaPlus.com.
“I am a proud member of the Ashanti Youth Association and I am telling you this mark it to this date. Coming event cast their shadows, more and more Members of Parliament who are in the Ashanti Region will be dealt with in the same manner in 2024. They will be beaten, they will chase them out and they will be hoot at and I am not telling you because I am issuing out threat. I am telling you as a bit of intelligence I have picked”, Mr Acquah said.
“Going forward these things that we see will manifest itself in a escalated manner because I lot of the people in the Ashanti Region feel neglected, feel they have been used and they don’t have their pound of the national flesh and they are angry. They are bitter so such things will be seen,” he explained.
Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu pelted with sachet what at Suame Magazine
Mr Acquah made the comment while reacting to a near attack on the Majority leader of Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu at Suame Magazine, an industrialized area in the Ashanti Region on Monday, July 18.
The MP who also doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Suame Constituency had visited the business hub to speak to leaders over poor road network in the area and plans made to continue works for the road project which stalled half way during its construction.
However, angry artisans of the hub pelted sachet water, hoot at him and chase him away.
Media report said it took the intervention of the Ghana Police Service to whisk the MP into a Police Vehicle for safety.
Mr Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, who is also the leader of government business in Parliament later met leadership of the market for discussions.
