MP Sponsors Three Muslims To Visit Mecca

The Member of Parliament for Akontombra Constituency, Hon Pious Kwame Nkuah, in the Western North Region, has provided financial support for three Muslim constituents to travel to Mecca.

Hon Pious Kwame Nkuah recognised Mecca as the location of the Hajj, one of the five pillars. “The Hajj is a pilgrimage to Mecca that is obligatory for all physically and financially able Muslims to undertake at least once in their lifetime. Mecca is also the holiest city in Islam and the direction of prayer (qibla) for all Muslims worldwide,” he said. He prayed that all people in Islam would be able to travel to Mecca.
