NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia Urges Juaboso Constituents to Re-elect MP Mintah Akando

Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on constituents in Juaboso to re-elect their current Member of Parliament, Mintah Akandoh.

In his address, Asiedu Nketia argued that choosing candidates from different parties, commonly called “skirt and blouse” voting, would not lead to significant development in the constituency.

Asiedu Nketia dismissed criticisms from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and expressed his confidence that Akandoh’s re-election could lead to a ministerial appointment, accelerating development in Juaboso. He urged voters to overlook opposition claims and support Akandoh’s continued leadership.

In response to allegations against him, Mintah Akandoh has defended his record, asserting that his only fault has been his dedication and hard work for the constituency.

He refuted claims suggesting inefficacy and emphasized his commitment to Juaboso’s progress.

Michael Aidoo, the Western North Regional Chairman of the NDC, addressed concerns regarding infrastructure development, clarifying that MPs are not directly responsible for road construction but are tasked with lobbying for such projects.

Aidoo urged Juaboso residents to consider the comparative achievements of the John Dramani Mahama administration and the current Nana Akufo-Addo government, suggesting that the former contributed more significantly to development and economic flexibility.

The call for support underscores the NDC’s focus on retaining local leadership and enhancing constituency development through continued party alignment and effective representation.
