NDC sacks Koku Anyidoho over misconduct

Vida Essel-LampteyThe National Democratic Congress(NDC) has expelled former Deputy General Secretary of the party and Chief Executive Officer of the Atta-Mills Institute, Mr Samuel Koku Anyidoho.
A statement signed by the General Secretary of the party, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia said the decision for his expulsion was taken on Tuesday, July 27, at a Functional Executive Committee meeting to consider the report and recommendations made by the Disciplinary Committee on a case of misconduct and anti party behavior brought against him in pursuant to article 48(1)(9)(a)of the NDC constitution.
“The committee’s report (which is attached for your perusal) found you guilty of the allegations of misconduct and anti party behavior and recommended your outright expulsion from the party” the statement dated July 27 sighted by GhanaPlus.com read.
“The Functional Executive Committee (FEC), acting in compliance of article 48(1) of the NDC constitution unanimously adopted the report and accepts full responsibility for your expulsion from the party” .
“You, are, therefore by the decision of FEC expelled from the National Democratic Congress and for that matter, you are no more recognized as a member of the party and cannot carry yourself as such,” it added.
Return all NDC properties in your custody
The party also through the statement directed the former aide and Head of Communications at the Presidency under the late NDC leader, Professor Evans Fifii Atta-Mills to return any properties of the party in his possession.
“You are by this letter in pursuant to article 48(10) of the NDC’s constitution directed to return any party property that may be in your custody and you shall also forfeit any monies, dues or subscription fees that you may have made to the party”.
NDC suspends Koku Anyidoho over alleged breach of Party’s Constitution
Mr Koku Anyidoho was suspended on February 9, by the party over an alleged breached of the party’s constitution.
According to the party, the suspension was in accordance with article46 (1), 46(6) and 46(8)b of the Party’s Constitution following two separate petition lodged by two members of the party over an alleged breach of the party’s disciplinary code by Mr Anyidoho.
“You are therefore by this letter to take note and notice hereby given that your membership of the NDC is suspended pending the hearing and final determination of the petition against your conducts,” a statement announcing his suspension said.
