NPP Sets July 15-17 For National Annual Delegates’ Conference


The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is scheduled to hold its National Annual Delegates’ Conference between Friday, July 15, to Sunday, July 17, 2022.
A statement signed by Mr John Boadu, the General Secretary of NPP, and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday, said the conference would be held at the Accra Sports Stadium.
It said: “Pursuant to Section I 7(2) of the Political Parties Law, Act 574, which provides that the election of National, Regional, and Constituency Officers of every political party shall be conducted under the supervision of the Electoral Commission, the National Elections shall be supervised by the Electoral Commission of Ghana.”
According to the statement, a nine-member National Elections Committee has been constituted to superintend all election-related processes.
It has Mr Peter Mac Manu, a former Chairman of the NPP as the Chairman of the Committee and Mr Evans Nimako, the Director of Elections of the NPP as the Secretary.
Other members of the committee are Mr Edward Boateng, a diplomat; Mrs Mawusi Nudekor Awity, Amin Anta, Alhaji Bismi Hussain, Mr Kwesi Abease, Madam Oboshie Sai Coffie, Mr Gary Nimako, Eric Ntori and Mr Emmanuel Darkwa.
