NPP’s Opoku Prempeh Pledges Job Creation as Top Priority for Bawumia Government

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the vice-presidential candidate for Ghana’s New Patriotic Party (NPP), has announced that the upcoming NPP administration, led by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will prioritize job creation.
Speaking at a community engagement event in Elubo, Western Region, Dr Opoku Prempeh emphasized that job creation will be at the heart of the government’s initiatives.
He highlighted that the Bawumia government aims to generate employment opportunities across various sectors. Dr. Opoku Prempeh pointed to existing efforts such as Free Senior High School (SHS) education and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) programs as foundational steps toward enhancing the employability of Ghanaian youth.
The vice-presidential candidate outlined several ambitious plans, including constructing 111 new hospitals.
This initiative is expected to create over 67,000 jobs in the health sector alone.
Additionally, Dr. Opoku Prempeh revealed plans to provide ICT training for one million young Ghanaians, which he said will significantly expand job opportunities.
He stressed that increasing employment opportunities will benefit individuals and stimulate economic growth through enhanced purchasing power.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh urged voters to support the NPP’s presidential and parliamentary candidates, emphasizing that their support is crucial for realizing these plans and ensuring a prosperous future for Ghana.
