I destroyed an innocent man
The expelled member of the NDC, nearly a week ago in an interview with Hello FM expressed regret about some untrue comments he and others made against the former President and rendered an unqualified apology to him through the programme.
He revealed they accused the former President of taken a 5million bribe to sponsor the New Patriotic Party (NPP)‘s campaigns among other things describing them as lies only made in the heat of their desire to take over power from his administration.
“It is no joke, it’s a fact, I lied about him and I apologize for it and I want to meet President Kufour personally and apologize because when even I meet him at state functions, he smile, he is an innocent man and we gotten to a stage that we realize in our political journey,we destroyed an innocent man,” he said.
“We lied about President Kuffour in 2008 because we wanted power so that Ghanaians will think he and the NPP were not good people and I am saying, I have regretted it.”
“Everything we said about President Kufour was untrue, totally untrue that he and his ministers had saved monies at Prudential Bank, it was not true,” he emphasized.
