QNET NOT BANNED IN GHANA: COURT RULING TARGETED IMPERSONATORS

QNET, a global lifestyle and wellness direct selling company, wishes to clarify that it is not banned in Ghana, nor is it aware of any court case or judgment scheduled for 20 July 2025 involving its operations. Recent media reports appear to have confused QNET with unrelated and illegal entities that were dissolved by a 2022 court ruling for falsely operating under similar names.
Biram Fall, QNET’s Regional General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, explained: “Some security agencies and media outlets seem to have mistaken that judgment as being against QNET. In
fact, the ruling targeted ‘Q-NET INVESTMENT LIMITED,’ which had no connection to us. To date, no legally empowered court or regulatory body has banned QNET. We remain fully compliant with Ghanaian laws and committed to working closely with all relevant authorities.”
ATTORNEY GENERAL CLARIFIED IN JULY 2023: QNET WAS NOT THE BANNED ENTITY
Mr. Fall added: “Unfortunately, the media and some stakeholders misunderstood the 2022 court judgment and believed QNET was banned. To clear the confusion, QNET petitioned the Attorney General, who later confirmed in writing that QNET was not the same as ‘Q-NET INVESTMENT LIMITED,’ the company
that was dissolved. The letter stated: ‘We have perused the said judgment as well as your petition and are of the opinion that the Honourable Court did not in any way link the company QNET and Q-Net Investment Limited.’”
?
QNET TOOK STEPS TO CLARIFY THE 2022 JUDGMENT
From 2022, QNET has engaged stakeholders including the Ghana Police and the media to correct the misunderstanding about the judgment. Notably, the Daily Graphic, Ghana’s leading national newspaper, published an article to correct its earlier misguided reportage, set the record straight and distinctively stated that it was Q-NET INVESTMENT LIMITED that was dissolved and not QNET. Other leading
media organisations published the news, highlighting QNET’s support for the Attorney General to dissolve companies impersonating QNET and misusing its name and products.
QNET IS ENGAGING AND SUPPORTING SECURITY AGENCIES AND EMBASSIES TO COMBAT SCAMS AND ILLEGAL MIGRATION
Over the past several years, QNET has consistently collaborated with Ghana’s law enforcement authorities, including the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Ghana Immigration Service, and other key agencies, to identify, repatriate, and support victims of trafficking and misrepresentation by fraudulent actors. Additionally, QNET, in good faith, has assisted various
embassies to repatriate their citizens home. In an important milestone, in August 2024, QNET officials conducted an information sharing session with over 200 detectives at the Detective Training Academy in Tesano, addressing all their concerns and highlighting the abuse of our brand by miscreants.
These interventions are well-documented and have involved resource contributions and structured cooperation with officials in Ghana and across the sub-region. In addition to the above, QNET is in close collaboration with EFCC in Nigeria to prosecute individuals misusing its brand to defraud innocent people.
QNET CONTINUES TO FIGHT AGAINST
SCAMS AND MISREPRESENTATION
QNET has initiated and intensified its media and public education campaign. Its signature anti-scam campaign: “QNET Against Scams” was implemented as a comprehensive 360-degree campaign on various media platforms including television, radio, billboards, online and social media. The campaign warned the public against scams and illegal migration. QNET continues to report cases of illegal activities done in its name to law enforcement and will not relent in its efforts to do so. To date, QNET has escalated 70 cases to authorities and assisted over 300 victims across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Mr. Fall concluded: “QNET is not a ponzi or investment scheme. It is not a visa or
scholarship agency. QNET does not condone illegal migration or gathering of any kind. QNET is a legitimate 26-year-old global company promoting and selling quality and life-changing wellness and lifestyle products that are locally and internationally certified. Anyone can visit our website, www.qnet.net to see the array of amazing products we offer and to get to know us better.”
PUBLIC ADVISORY: STAY ALERT
