Former Executive Secretary of the Ghana Free Zones Board, Mr Kwadwo Twum Boafo has descended heavily on the Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency, Mr Kennedy Agyepong following his public outburst against the Member of Parliament for the Dome Kwabenya Constituency, Ms Sarah Adwoa Safo.
Ms Adwoa Safo, Ghana’s Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection have been absent from her parliamentary and ministerial duties for some time now causing the public to raise questions of her where about.
Reacting to her absence on the state broadcaster, Ghana Television (GTV), Mr Kennedy Agyepong, who has two children with the minister slammed and accused her of intentionally sabotaging government business.
He alleged, Ms Adwoa Safo has requested to be made a Deputy Majority Leader, a position lower than her ministerial position but that had not been met and that explains her behavior.
“She says she wants to be Deputy Majority Leader, that woman has failed in life. A whole Cabinet Minister now demanding that she should be made a Deputy Majority Leader before she comes, she should go to hell,” he made the claims on GTV Breaskfast Show on Monday, February 21.
“You don’t come to parliament and you are on TokTok dancing? Dome Kwabenya is not for Apostle Kwadwo Safo, get it straight. I am very furious because people are insulting me because I went there to campaign for her. Mike Oquaye the Speaker, the man that I respect very well, I campaigned against his son because Adwoa used my kids, calling me and begging me to help her. And now everybody is insulting me for doing that but I have not regretted, she is very responsible when it comes to the kids.”
Mr Agyepong also alleged on Assase radio on Tuesday February 22, that the Chief of Staff handed him a whopping ¢120,000 which he personally deposited into Ms Adwoa Safo’s Fidelity Bank account.
“The Chief of Staff called me and I went, I swear [on] my mother’s grave, Chief of Staff gave me ¢120,000 and deposited into Adwoa Safo’s Fidelity Bank account.
“I took the money there into the Fidelity Account, ask her personal assistant if what I am saying is not the truth,” a furious Kennedy Agyapong said.
He added “Now we are in opposition, the way Adwoa Safo is treating the party, it is clearly showing that we are in opposition and this shouldn’t be tolerated at all,”
Twum Boafo Boafo slams Kennedy Agyepong his outburst against Adwoa Safo
Reacting to the development on Alhaji and Alhaji on Pan African TV on Saturday, February 26 monitored by GhanaPlus.com, Mr Twum Boafo said the action of the Assin Central MP was not right.
According to him, Ghanaians are not train to put family issues in the public all in the name of politics and called on him to apologies to Adwoa Safo and her children as well.
“And to Kennedy Agyepong,….. what you did was really uncool, what you did was not cool. for the sake of your children what you did was uncool, you see smoking your own supply is not a good business model, what you did was uncool, and you should be apologizing to that woman and apologizing to your children. That is not what our mothers trained us to do. In the name of politics don’t put out your family on the palate for people to feed off of because now that you have done this, the vultures are out and I must confess, I am one of them. We are hovering over the carrion and we will peck it until the bones are bleach but whose fault it is,” he said.
