The Director of the Legal Affairs of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Abraham Amaliba has advised the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to stop going to radio and TV stations for interviews.
That he said was because the President is temperamental hence attending such programmes where random questions could be asked is not good for him.
Mr Amaliba made the comment on TV3 NewDay, monitored by GhanaPlus.com on Friday, October 21.
He said for a matter of his reputation and relationships when he is no longer in office, the President will be better off sticking to his guided speeches instead.
“And I want to advise the President, he is too temperamental, he should stop going to TV stations and radio station because there he is not prepared for the discussions when they asks him a question because of his temperamental nature he flairs up and makes unguided statement that also affect his reputation,” Mr Amaliba.
“He is leaving; he should make sure that he leaves in a way that he will have friends when he leaves, ” the NDC stalwart said.
Nobody holds anyone’s hands to vote – Akufo-Addo
The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has come under intense criticism following some comments he made while on a working tour of the Ashanti Region.
The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo while responding to no roads, no vote threat made by the people of Kwabre and Manso on Otec FM said he is not perturbed by the threat.
He also said he is not frightened by the threat adding that nobody holds anyone’s hands to make a choice during voting.
“No problem, no problem, Am saying people make those kind of threats, me, they don’t frighten me because yes, somebody votes for you, somebody supports you is because they want you to do things for them, so I understand that,” Akufo-Addo said.
“There is no need for people to say if I don’t do it, this and that, that one is your own problem….. If it comes that in the election if you decide to vote for the NDC that is your own business, that is not mine choice. Nobody holds your hands to cast your vote, it is your own job,” the President said in a viral video sighted by GhanaPlus.com.
Again while cutting sod for the construction of the Suame Interchange also in the Ashanti Region, the President said persons who speaks ill of him in the region will be put to shame one, by one.
Your utterances are undeserving of a President – Amaliba
But Mr Amaliba said, the utterance is undeserving of a president.
“Yes, that is why I am not President, if you are President; you don’t do those temperamental things,” he said when New Patriotic Party’s Kamaldeen Abdulai quizzed about his own temperament.
