Kojo Danquah Is NDC's Eastern Regional Communications Officer

The Eastern Regional Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kojo Danquah, had launched a scathing attack on Bryan Acheampong, the Member of Parliament for Abetifi, over the deteriorating roads in the constituency.

Mr. Danquah’s blistering remarks underscored growing frustration among residents as he accused the MP of neglecting his duties and focusing on political machinations instead.

“The Abetifi road network has now deteriorated into a nightmarish shadow of its former glory,” Danquah lamented, pointing to major routes such as Tafo to Kotoso, Yaw Tenkorang to Simpoa, St. Peters Junction to Abetifi, and several others that have fallen into disrepair.

Kojo Danquah painted a gloomy picture of roads riddled with “serious cracks and extensive erosion,” leaving them looking like the aftermath of a catastrophic event.

The NDC communication officer made these remarks during a press conference on Wednesday, 14th August 2024, at the party’s regional office Koforidua

According to him, the situation is exacerbated during the rainy seasons when these roads turn into an “island of misery.” Torrential rains transform the thoroughfares into treacherous, waterlogged paths filled with dangerous potholes.

“Commuters are left to face this horrendous obstacle, where every journey is burdened with the risk of vehicular damage or, even worse, accidents,” he stressed, describing the ordeal as akin to navigating a “rocky battlefield.”

The firebrand NDC Eastern Regional Communication Officer did not hold back in his criticism of Bryan Acheampong, whom he derisively referred to as a “riff-raff” MP.

He recalled a recent tour by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to the Eastern Region, where Bryan Acheampong allegedly boasted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would use “all possible means” to secure victory in the 2024 elections, including “stealing the mandate of the people.”
