A Plus credits Shatta Wale for election victory strategy

Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame A Plus, has attributed his 2024 electoral victory to the advice he received from Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale.

Recounting the experience, A Plus shared: “I reached out to Shatta Wale because I admired how he attracts massive followers.

“Anytime he steps out, he’s mobbed by people—whether he’s attending a radio interview, shooting a music video, or just going about his business. His influence is unmatched in Ghana.”

According to A Plus, Shatta Wale shared profound advice that reshaped his political strategy. “He told me, ‘Focus on people’s needs. Solve their problems, and they’ll naturally follow you. Leadership is about service.’

He even used Jesus Christ as an example, explaining how His leadership was built on giving and addressing issues.”

The MP explained that this guidance inspired him to engage deeply with his constituents, prioritizing their concerns and providing tangible solutions.

“I implemented Shatta’s wisdom, and the results were overwhelming. The people saw the effort and trusted me with their votes,” A Plus said.

A Plus defeated two-term MP and Deputy Minister for the Interior, Naana Eyiah Quansah of the NPP, in the 2024 parliamentary elections held on December 7.

The former musician secured 14,277 votes, leaving Eyiah Quansah in second place with 11,637 votes. The NDC’s Ywason Mohamed followed in third with 10,112 votes, out of a total of 36,026 valid votes cast.
