Accra as a city is one of the most expensive places to live in the world
Award-winning musician and entrepreneur, Trigmatic has complained bitterly about the rising cost of living in Accra which is making life very difficult for ordinary people.
Mincing no words on Kastle FM in Cape Coast, the ‘Sika Nti’ hitmaker stated emphatically that Accra is one of the most expensive cities to live in the world.
“When you look at Accra as a city I’m telling you it is one of the most expensive places to live in the world,” he said.
To buttress his point, the songwriter who resides in Accra, disclosed that the outrageous amounts being paid by parents as school fees among other bills makes staying in Accra unbearable.
He added that “If you consider the amount of money being charged in Accra as school fees and people are paying among other bills, it’s so crazy”.
Ghana’s capital city, Accra ranked as the 63rd most expensive expat destination out of the 209 cities analysed in the 2019 Mercer Cost of Living Survey.
