Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni both endured difficult moments – Mr. Bonez
Entertainment commentator Mr. Bonez has weighed in on the ongoing conversations surrounding the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, insisting that both Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni went through difficult periods with the musician and deserve fair acknowledgement.
Speaking on Fakye TV, Mr. Bonez said Daddy Lumba spent most of his lowest moments in the company of Odo Broni, a reality he believes was reflected in the musician’s public appearances and performances at the time.
“He spent most of his low moments with Odo Broni, and you could clearly see it in some of the performances and shows he was doing later in his life,” he stated.
According to Mr. Bonez, regardless of how Odo Broni is described within the household, her contribution should not be dismissed.
“Even if Odo Broni was a maid and she did her work well, she deserves to be acknowledged,” he argued.
He questioned claims by Akosua Brempomaa that she was unaware of Odo Broni’s role and presence in Daddy Lumba’s life, noting that she was reportedly the sibling closest to the late musician.
“Is Akosua Brempomaa saying she never discussed Odo Broni with her brother, since she was the one closest to him?” he asked.
Mr. Bonez further suggested that Odo Broni’s long-term presence in Daddy Lumba’s home could not have happened without the knowledge or consent of those around him.
“There was information and an understanding that allowed Odo Broni to function in Daddy Lumba’s home to that extent, even to the point of giving birth to as many as six children,” he claimed.
