Akrobeto takes on NSMQ’s ‘Problem of the Day’—with unexpected results
For years, Akrobeto has entertained Ghanaians with his hilarious takes on the news, but this time, the tables were turned.
The celebrated Real News host found himself in the hot seat when he welcomed Dr. Elsie Effah Kaufmann, the esteemed host of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), on his show.
The segment took an unexpected yet entertaining twist when Dr. Kaufmann presented Akrobeto with a science challenge—a Problem of the Day from the NSMQ but simplified to a class 4 level.
With a diagram of the digestive system before him, he was asked to identify the oesophagus.
“This is for a class 4 student, so I know you can do it,” Dr. Kaufmann encouraged.
Akrobeto, ever the showman, took up the marker with confidence, but instead of a straightforward answer, viewers were treated to a classic Akrobeto moment.
As he examined the diagram, he successfully pointed out the mouth and throat (which should have included the oesophagus) before venturing into the small and large intestines with some uncertainty.
His attempt, though not entirely accurate, had both Dr. Kaufmann and the audience in stitches.
It was a perfect blend of humour and education, proving once again why Akrobeto remains one of Ghana’s most beloved television personalities.
