Alban Bagbin’s dance moves light up the internet
After a period marked by intense elections and parliamentary activities welcoming new members, Speaker of the 9th Parliament of Ghana, Alban Bagbin has found himself in the spotlight for reasons beyond the legislative chamber.
A video capturing him dancing joyfully at an undisclosed event has stirred up considerable attention on social media.
In the video, the Speaker, dressed in a white agbada, was seen dancing with a lady, adding a moment of lightheartedness to what appeared to be a lively gathering.
The specifics of the event, including its location, remain unclear, but that hasn’t stopped Twitter users from buzzing about the moment.
This joyful moment stands in stark contrast to a serious issue Speaker Bagbin had addressed just recently.
In a separate context, Bagbin recently shared why he believes he was granted a second term as Speaker of Parliament.
During a Thanksgiving gathering at his home, the Speaker reflected on the challenges faced by members of parliament, especially former MPs.
He pointed to the financial difficulties that many parliamentarians experience after their service, emphasizing the need for reforms to improve their circumstances.
Bagbin explained that several former MPs had approached him with complaints about the hardships they face, particularly the financial strain of running re-election campaigns.
He stressed that this issue had to be tackled to ensure that parliamentarians are not burdened by such challenges once their service to the country has ended.
