Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong others storm Daddy Lumba’s one-week observation
Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, and several other notable figures joined thousands of mourners at Independence Square in Accra on Saturday, August 30, 2025, for the one-week observance of highlife legend Daddy Lumba.
A video from the event shows Dr. Bawumia exchanging pleasantries with mourners as he arrived to pay his respects.
Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 60 after a short illness.
The memorial, organised by the Creative Arts Agency and the Fosu family, featured performances of his timeless hits and drew massive crowds.
Details of the final funeral arrangements in Kumasi will be announced soon.
